They say absence makes the heart grow fonder,
\nbut I would rather say my heart is suffering,
\nnot knowing if or when it may be feasible
\nfor us to meet in flesh and bones, not ether. <\/p>\n

They say that love \u2013 if true \u2013 is unrequited,
\nbut I prefer the notion that you love me,
\nwere it even for the shortest of all seasons. <\/p>\n

They say the fire of love, once it is lit,
\nburns out inexorably, faster than a comet;
\nyet I choose to disregard silly old sayings,
\nand let your fire consume me with its flames,
\nincinerating the dark forests of my soul \u2013 <\/p>\n

so that after you no<\/em><\/strong> Love may ever follow! <\/p>\n
