MERE VERBS IN THE DICTIONARY?

Dedicated to a beautiful, brilliant young lady

You –
amuse, antagonise, yet appease me,
bond me, boost me and better me,
chastise me, confuse and cuddle me,
decide me, delight me, divide me,
encourage, enthuse and excite me,
feed me, force me, forgive me,
glorify, gather and gladden me,
haunt me, heal me, and host me,
incite and inspire me, invite me,
know me, keep me and knead me,
like me, lull me and land me,
motivate, mother and mull me,
notice me, need me and nudge me,
overhaul, open and overwhelm me,
poke me, please me, protect me,
recharge and renew me, respect me,
support, surprise and sweeten me,
tease me, torment, yet tolerate me,
understand, unleash and unravel me,
value me, validate me and vex me,
warm me, water, still weather me,
x-clude me, x-pel me, x-ude me,
yet manage even to yearn for me –
if only to zero my zen resolutions.

And I?
I can only repay you by living one,
single, complex, yes, elementary verb,
that entails and encompasses others;
inescapable, indispensable, totally,
logical product and sum of them all –
loving you!
